Abstract
One of the regions that has been involved in the sinister efforts of terrorism and separatist counter-revolutionary groups since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 has been the western and northwestern areas of the country. In this context, examining the process of arming terrorist groups in the northwestern and western regions of the country by the enemies of the Islamic Revolution from the victory of the Revolution to 2021, which is the focus of this research, seeks to analyze this process of armament. Therefore, using qualitative content analysis, library documents, and expert interviews, the main objective of the research is to investigate the process of arming these groups with weapons and ammunition in the northwestern and western regions of the country by the enemies from the victory of the Revolution until 2021. The research findings emphasize that the arming process of the Komala and Democratic terrorist groups can be observed and distinguished in two main stages: traditional and modern. The traditional arming of the groups occurred during the early period after the Revolution for Komala and the Democratic Party, while the modern arming process is seen in PJAK, which, over time and after the decline of the activities of the traditional groups, emerged as a more modern armed group in militant struggles.
