The political platforms of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the presence of the occupying Israeli regime in the Caucasus region

Undoubtedly, the most important current strategy of the Israeli occupation regime is to follow the peripheral alliance in the Middle East. This region underwent fundamental geopolitical changes after the end of the Cold War, and the geographical location of the periphery in this regime's peripheral alliance plan has shifted from the margins of Arab states to areas neighboring Iran due to Iran's continued anti-Zionist policy and its transformation into the most significant strategic threat to the Israeli occupation regime. Among these, Azerbaijan has become the starting point for the strategy of the regime's 'new peripheral alliance.' Given this, researchers have wondered what social foundations Azerbaijan provides for the presence of the Israeli occupation regime. This study, aiming to identify Azerbaijan's social foundations, utilized scientific texts and, to prioritize the identified foundations, made use of questionnaire results. The research population includes 45 professors from doctoral and master's levels related to the topic in various academic centers and universities, surveyed entirely by the census method.
