Abstract

This research aims to document the doctrine of the commanders of the Armed Forces in countering the counter-revolution in the northwest and western regions during the years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran up to the end of 2020. The main research question is: What has been the doctrine of the commanders of the Armed Forces in countering the counter-revolution in the northwest and western regions of the country from the victory of the Islamic Revolution until the end of 2020? Data collection was conducted through library studies and reviewing the system's high-level documents using note-taking tools, as well as field studies through interviews with 15 commanders and officials of the Army, IRGC, and Law Enforcement units during the research period in the aforementioned regions until data saturation was reached. The collected data were analyzed and concluded using qualitative content analysis. The research findings indicate eight aspects of doctrine and one aspect concerning the effects and strategic consequences of applying the doctrine.
