Abstract
Given the current conditions of the international system, in which the line between war and peace has been blurred and most countries are seeking to interfere in the affairs of others, hybrid warfare is the most advantageous, cost-effective, and quick-yielding method to achieve broad objectives, carried out through various tools, strategies, and equipment. Therefore, the main aim of this article is to identify the requirements and principles of hybrid warfare. The research method is correlational and explanatory, and it is of an applied-developmental type. The sample size is 35 people, and the data collection method is both documentary and field-based. According to the research findings, hybrid warfare occurs in three stages: preparation, attack, and defense against the final attack. Conversely, the hybrid defense system takes place in three stages: early warning signals, hybrid defense, and recovery. These stages are carried out in an intertwined, alternating, and sequential manner. According to research findings, the requirements of hybrid warfare demand a comprehensive and multifaceted approach to effectively counter the various tactics employed by aggressors. The manner of utilizing the principles of hybrid warfare depends on factors such as weaknesses, the capacities of the attacking party in different dimensions, the specific objectives of the aggressor, temporal and geographical conditions, and the aggressor's perception of hybrid warfare. Each of the requirements and principles of hybrid warfare includes 10 strategic propositions.
