Abstract
All countries form diverse structures to secure national interests and achieve their fundamental goals and ideals, among the most important of which are intelligence agencies and the military sector. Although in the Islamic Republic of Iran these two structures are separate in their missions and responsibilities under the law, their interaction for pursuing national goals, fundamental ideals, and national interests is necessary and inevitable. With this description, the aim of the article is to examine, through a scientific process, some types of emerging technologies and their roles, impacts, achievements, and consequences in the interaction between intelligence agencies and the military sector in the Islamic Republic. In this study, a mixed-methods approach (quantitative and qualitative) was used to achieve the research goal. Data were collected through library and field methods, and content analysis was employed for data analysis. In this research, a mixed method has been used to achieve the research objective, meaning that library and field methods were employed for data collection, and content analysis was used for data analysis. The statistical population of the present research comprises 35 individuals holding doctoral and master's degrees related to the subject in scientific centres and universities of information and military organisations, selected using a total sampling method as the sample size. The findings of the research indicate that increasing the operational capacity of intelligence and military apparatus, enhancing the speed of information exchange, improving accuracy in matters, reducing incurred costs, providing a platform for mutual utilisation of existing experiences in intelligence and military apparatus, and increasing the responsiveness of intelligence and military entities are among the most significant achievements of emerging technologies in the interaction of intelligence organisations.
