Abstract
In general, one of the important components in the fundamental life cycle of terrorism is the process of arming and equipping groups, which determines the extent of terrorists' access to and use of weapons and ammunition, their survival and demise, as well as their capability to carry out violent operations against countries. On the one hand, one of the countries that has fallen victim to terrorism in the world is the Islamic Republic of Iran. that with the malice and ill will of the enemies of Islamic Iran, The groups have attempted to carry out numerous operations and subversive actions against the country. One of the areas that has been involved in the grim efforts of terrorism and separatist anti-revolutionary groups since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 is the western and northwestern regions of the country. The main objective of the research is to examine the process of equipping terrorist groups in the north-western and western regions of the country by the enemies of the Islamic Revolution from the victory of the revolution until the year 2021. Therefore, this research has been conducted using qualitative content analysis and through the use of scientific documents as well as interviews with experts. The findings of the research emphasise that the process of equipping the terrorist groups Komala and Democrat is observable and can be differentiated into two main stages: traditional and modern. The traditional process of equipping groups such as Komala and Democrat during the early days following the revolution, and the modern process of arming PJAK, which over time and after a decrease in the activities of traditional groups, PJAK emerged as a more modern armed group in the arena of armed struggles.
